Winter floods July 2008.
Good heavy rains in early
July raised the water levels in the vlei and river
higher than last year's floods.

Winter floods July 2007.
Heavy rain in late July resulted in the
levels of the vlei rising higher than it had in many

Winter 2007. The winter rains means that Rietvlei has once again filled up with water.
