Another
project
Friends
of
Rietvlei
had
going
at
Rietvlei
is a
community
project
by
Jonathan
Bandli
of
1st
Blaauwberg
Sea
Scouts.
This
community
project
was
towards
his
Springbok
award;
he
had
to
do
40
hours
of
work
with
a
group
of
scouts
under
his
supervision.
Jonathan
and
his
team
cleared
alien
Port
Jackson
along
the
boundary
of
the
reserve
behind
the
Education
Centre
- a
tough
job
in
very
hot
conditions.
They
wood-sealed
the
outside
of
the
Education
Centre
building
and
also
the
benches
in
the
amphitheatre
in
front
of
the
centre.
The
third
task
they
did
was
to
tidy
up
the
Indigenous
Garden
behind
the
centre.
The
group
worked
hard
over
the
weekends
of
3rd
and
10th
March.
Our
sincere
thanks
to
Jonathan
and
his
team
for
jobs
well
done.
The
next
pages
show
pictures
of
the
team
hard
at
work.
